Match.com is probably the best known dating site in the UK. It's been around for over ten years and a Research conducted by YouGov at the end of 2011 found it was responsible for more relationships and more marriages than any other online dating site. Impressive stuff! On a more personal note, I can confirm that my friend (S), met her husband match.com UK a couple of years ago (a lovely man in a uniform!), as did an ex work colleague. Because it's so well known, it has a huge number of members, over 2 million, and when I signed on last there were over 58,309 members online! It's very, very good and I'd have no hesitation in recommending it.
Creating your profile
It really couldn't be easier on Match.com. Now obviously the more detailed and interesting your profile is, the more it is likely it is to catch someone's attention, so I always recommend spending a bit of time on this. One of the biggest mistakes online daters make, is to only write one or two sentences on their descripton and have no photo - no wonder they don't get many people contacting them.
I couldn't think of a search that I couldn't do - I was even able to search for a 6 foot, blonde, 30-35 year old man who was a medical professional and who lived in Kent - 5 came up, 3 of which were showing as online.
As you'd expect from such a professional site, there are loads. Here are a few: you can wink at someone, chat in realtime, find out what members are looking for in a potential partner, see whose viewed your profile, Create your own list of favourites and see whose favourited you. The list goes on, but you get the idea - Match.com is full of features.
Match.com UK Costs
Here is a short guide to the cost of Match.com UK and the savings over the basic 1 month membership fee, if you go for the 3, 6 or 12 month package: £12.99 per month for a 6 month membership (Save 56%) £19.99 per month for a 3 month membership (Save 33%) £29.99 per month for a 1 month membership
Match.com dating site is very good, but you should register for free, to have a good look round before you join up. You wouldn't buy a car without testing driving it, and you shouldn't join a dating site until you've given it a good test drive.
